Conferences of Dr. Vernon Barnes in Montreal on April, 25, 2009
Vernon A. Barnes, Ph.D. in physiology, assistant professor in
pediatrics is visiting from the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta
Georgia USA. He will present recent findings on the effectiveness of
school-based stress-reduction programs in treatment of elevated blood
pressure and associated pre-clinical markers of cardiovascular disease
in youth. His findings on the impact of Transcendental Meditation® on
blood pressure and school-related behavior with adolescents will be of
great interest to parents and educators and to all those concerned with the happiness and health of our children.
